This piece represents the journey that I began when I reached out for help with my mental health. It starts with a heart that had learned to protect itself from everything and everyone - hiding who I was, becoming numb.

It then moves into a stage of opening up, where I began to believe that maybe people do care. But it doesn't stay there.

It returns to a place of doubt, where I try not to believe I am alone, yet still feel like there is no help - and that I need to wrap my heart even tighter.
